I John Joyce native of Freshford in the County of Somersetshire, Gentleman do hereby make this last Will & testament whereas in right of my late Wife Maria Joyce I am possessed of certain property bequeathed to her by our late uncle Richard Joyce viz. A tenement situated in Rosemary Lane in the Parish of Freshford now occupied by Henry Wiltshire as my tenant also a cottage situated at Park comer in the Parish of Freshford now occupied by Fawly Kirby as my tenant... whereas by the rubber asserting beneath of my bear you the Reverend Frederick Joyce I become legally entitled as his heir at law to his third share of an estate situated at Upper Westwood in the County of Wilts.@ other property made over to him @ his brother Arthur John Joyce @ his Sister Caroline Joyce by compart @ Agreement made between the late Reverend James Barington Evans @ his children @ the late Maria Joyce @ her younger children. Now I hereby @ by these presents devise @ bequeath to my beloved daughter Caroline Joyce for her sole use @: benefit the said tenement situated in Rosemary Lane @ also the aforesaid Cottage situated at park Comer both being in the Parish of Freshford and also I give @ bequeath to my aforesaid Daughter Caroline Joyce the third share in the estate at West- wood @ other property which belonged to the late Rev. Frederick Joyce of which as his heir at law @ representative I am become the legal Owner @ possessor ...I also give @ bequeath to the said Caroline Joyce my Daughter for her own use @ under her own control all my personal Estate @ all other my real estate whatsoever. ..I hereby nominate @ appoint my daughter Caro- line Joyce my sole Executive.
