In 1933, the Great Western Railway introduced this Diesel railcar. Here it is seen at Bradford on Avon. This a most unusual coupling of two vehicles normally they were coupled back to back, so the driving cabs were facing outwards. These two were coupled tail to nose.
These sets sometimes had a coach sandwiched between them and were used between Bristol Temple Meads to Weymouth and return. this was the afternoon return service from Weymouth.
