Gillender
The Rev. Robert Gillender, Primitive Methodist Minister in the Sturminster Newton Circuit, has had sad news of the death of his second son at the war front. The war office telegram says: Deeply regret to inform Second Lieutenant A.W. Gillender, South Staffordshire Regiment, attached Lincolnshire Regiment, died of wounds April 10th. The Army Council express their sympathy." Mr. Gillender leaves a widow and two children at Charmourh,Lyme Regis. The Rev. R. Gillender, M.S. is in the North of England on light duty while recovering from affliction before going again to the Front.
