LETTER

| Dear Friends, I suspect I have said this before, but I have one great fear; that is that people reject a Christian faith which is not the Christian faith. It is very easy to pick up bits about Christianity at various times in our lives, and not to recognise we may have got hold of the wrong end of the stick. I went to church for many years as a teenager and into my twenties. Yet if I had been asked to describe the content of what I took to be Christianity I am sure, looking back now, I would have been quite a way from the truth. I am understandably very sad when someone rejects the Christian faith but even sadder when I later discover that what they rejected was not the real thing anyway. I plan to run another Alpha Course after Easter. This is a course which looks at some of the central areas of Christianity. It has by now been a great help to millions of people throughout the world. Why not come along even just to check whether you are reacting, either positively or negatively, to the real thing. Please make contact with me as soon as you can if you would like to be included. The venue and best day of the week will be decided when I see from which of the three villages most people come, and their preferences. I would particularly glad if those who have had their children baptized recently, or are thinking about it, would come on the course. Yours sincerely, DAVID CLARK |
