HINTON CHARTERHOUSE PARISH COUNCIL

Hinton Charterhouse Fete- July 6 2002
The Chairman welcomed everyone to the meeting and established the
purpose and desirability of holding a Fete in 2002. After discussion it was
agreed that the village wished to continue to hold the Fete.
He also opened a discussion regarding the percentages of the profit and the
various benefiting organisations. It was proposed that organisations requiring
funds from the Fete proceeds should write to the Chairman and request funds,
with justification and that the percentage distribution would be decided at the
Wash Up Meeting after the Fete once the amount if funds raised was known.
This was agreed by the meeting. It was also recommended that an agreed
sum be held for one-off donations.
The Chairman thanked Roger Lacey the retiring Treasurer and lynda
Purse, the retiring Secretary for their help and support.
Fraser Robertson was elected as Chairman with a full committee and the
first meeting will be held on Monday February 11 at 8 pm in the Memorial

Hall. Fraser Robertson

Hinton Charterhouse Jubilee Celebrations
There has been a good response to the Jubilee Month idea mooted by the
Parish Council, and it has already been decided that there will be a Treasure
Hunt followed by a Village Tea on the Millennium Green on June 4, one of the
Bank Holiday days. There are also proposals for a Garden Tour, a Clay
Pigeon Shoot, a Painting exhibition by the Art Class. Watch this space for
further developments and details.
