Blondin-the
Tight Rope Walker
Strange as it may seem, the famous tight rope walker, Blondin, who crossed Niagara
Falls on a Tight Rope, came and gave a demonstration at Farleigh Plain Farm in
the 188O's.
Mr. Crook says that his mother often spoke about it.
Mr. Salter who owned the Cloth Mill at Farleigh Hunger ford, lived at Farleigh
Plain at that time and organized the show to raise money for the Chapel. Blondin
is said to have walked on a rope stretched from a tree to the House.
